Grinding and Polishing of Rotor Shaft

 

Rotor shaft grinding and polishing is required due to development of taper and ovality on the rotor shaft diameter, pitting and deep bearing marks. It is important that the rotor shaft bearing sitting area is within the tolerances in terms of taper, ovality and surface finish. RA Power Solutions undertakes onsite grinding and polishing of rotor shaft. 

There is no need of removing the rotor shaft from the casing. The bearings are removed and insitu grinding of rotor shaft is undertaken. Rotor shaft is normally placed on white metal bearing. We also manufacture new white metal bearing for rotor shaft and  undertake rebabbitting of white metal bearings.
